'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' recap: "Mac's Big Break"

9:30AM on a Thursday. Charlie and Mac are listening to the Preston and Steve radio show, trying desperately to nail a trivia question or two. "What Philly Flyer holds the record for goals in a season?" They go with Reggie Leach and Reggie Leach it is! They've won the chance to take a goal shot at the Wells Fargo Center mid-game in order to win a weekend at the Radio Show Beach House. They are PSYCHED.

Dennis and Dee are not. Frank has taken to taping the siblings' conversations for playing in his car later, positing that their banter is better than anything on the radio. Dennis and Dee get it in their heads that they should start their own talk show. Meanwhile, Charlie and Mac practice their street hockey skills outside. It's time to seize the day.

MAC - We are not men who get a lot of opportunities, Charlie.

Charlie coaches Mac on the subtlety of the slap shot, but Mac just wants to concentrate on showcasing his hockey stick weapon skills. After all, the last thing he wants to come off as is a jabroni. Charlie deems the asphalt insufficient and the two head for the ice rink. Back at Paddy's, Dennis and Dee kick off their inaugural podcast with technology talk... and almost instant dead air. Frank, acting as their de facto producer, decides to bring in some guests to liven up the mood. First up is Cricket, a homeless man who Frank lures in with promises of chicken, but rewards with meager lemons. Cricket talks about the time he was woken by an aroused dog who wanted to hump his wound. Then he calls Dee a whore. Instant mayhem!

At the public ice rink, Mac plans his outfit. He's gonna go with a duster.

CHARLIE - A good hockey wig could put this over the top, man.

Mac takes a practice shot. Formerly calm skating people duck and scream, causing the boys to be temporarily evicted. They decide to procure some skates.

CHARLIE - You keep on using this word "jabroni" and... it's awesome.

MAC - Yeah, I think it's some dego word.

Back at Paddy's, Dennis is trying to have a serious conversation about stem cell research, but Dee can't stop playing with wacky sound effects.

DENNIS - Don't do it while I'm talking.

DEE - Okay, well, we'll see.

Frank wants to talk about war. He introduces Ben the soldier, one of Dee's ex-boyfriends.

FRANK - How about we talk about how you two used to bang each other.

It's after hours at the ice rink, but Charlie and Mac have managed to sneak back in, this time, with skates. Mac is terrible, so Charlie does what only a truly great friend can do... coaches him via TRAINING MONTAGE! They drink raw eggs, try on wigs, puke all over each other, pretty much cover all bases.

Back at Paddy's, Frank ushers in yet another guest, Waitress, having lured her in with promises of an apology from Dennis.

WAITRESS - I'm not leaving here until I get an apology.
