John Lennon Birthday

John Lennon Birthday Google has popped up with another doodle, as tomorrow is the day on which John Lennon would have been seventy had his life not been cut tragically short. This isn’t a normal doodle, however, as it’s actually an embedded video which plays when you click on the Google logo. That triggers a thirty second black and white animation of morphing butterflies and flowers, which finally settles into the Google logo doodle and then it redirects you to search results for John Lennon as per usual.

Lennon was perhaps the wittiest member of the Beatles, and certainly the most philosophical, with many famous quotes emerging from his lips other plans.Possession isn’t nine-tenths of the law. It’s nine-tenths of the problem.”I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.

Is the Twitter profile of The Imagine Peace Tower, which is a light sculpture located in Iceland. The tower consists of strong lights that are beamed vertically into the sky from a 10-meter wide wishing well. It was conceived by Yoko Ono in 2007 and dedicated to John Lennon. Today Google updates its logo by celebrating John Lennon’s 70th birthday with a video displayed inline on their homepage called “John Lennon Google Doodle”, a drawing animation played to the tune of John Lennon’s timeless epic of a song Imagine.
